For Cris Cura, the key to being a good leader is to serve them so they can work towards better versions of themselves.
“As a unit manager, I understand my role to my team,” shares Cris, “I coach them with intention so that they can become truly better. And by doing that, they become consistent performers.”
This is the MDRT qualifier’s philosophy, the first in EastWest Ageas Insurance, when it comes to mentoring the next team of top-selling and high-performing financial consultants. Already, he has helped guide two of his mentees become part of the exclusive club of the MDRT qualifiers for the company.
But more than just coaching and support, Cris believes in the impact of purpose.

“This is a noble job. You get to help people in a sad moment of their life. You give them hope and reassurance that they can have a better tomorrow,” he explains. And this purpose is what should fuel any financial consultant to do their very best for everyone around them in spreading the good word of getting insured.
“Discovering the “why” of why we do this should be backed up by daily discipline and routine. It is a habit of success that I always remind my team whenever I coach them.”
But more than just this belief, Cris also points out the kind of support they get from EastWest Ageas.
“They listen to us and you can really see there is an intentionality in growing the business. They really take action and not a lot of companies do that,’ he shares. And as a financial consultant, one can truly see their direct impact in helping the company become one of the fastest-rising insurance providers in the country.
With this in mind, one can transform this career into a lifestyle of purpose that aligns with your dreams and goals.
“Are you where you want to be today? If not, join our PURPLE movement,” Cris invites with a smile.
